PREPARATION

Dissolve the yeast in the warm milk.

Add the flour, salt, icing sugar, egg yolks, softened margarine, and vanilla essence and mix until it becomes a dough.

Knead until elastic.

Cover with a damp cloth and let the dough rest until it doubles in size.

Use a rolling pin to roll it out until it is 1cm thick. With a knife or a glass, cut into ring-shaped pieces.

Fry both sides of each in hot oil and set aside on a tray.

Melt the chocolate in a bowl and mix it with the milk.

Dip one side of each donut in the chocolate sauce.

Decorate them by sprinkling the chopped hazelnuts, almonds, or coconut on top of the sauce.
